The naturally derived dermosoft® DGMC MB shows a selective antimicrobial activity against gram positive bacteria. Therefore, it is suitable as an active ingredient with deodorant properties for natural product concepts. Moreover, dermosoft® DGMC MB acts as a sensory modifier in O/W emulsions, influencing the texture and creating a "soft" sensorial sensation. In surfactant based formulations for hair and skin care, it increases the viscosity.
